Committing to a Schedule
In case you missed it, I have been successfully writing every day by committing to an hour in the morning. I call this session the Asimov Hour, and I am held accountable by the pledge to upload a video every day to report in. Part of success is intent. Announcing my intent to an audience is an even more concrete expression of that intent. So here I am, full of intent again. I plan to update this blog more regularly. Sometimes I've added snippets daily for a week. Then it's gone long before I update again with a reflection on my writing process. Then longer before I remember to come back and share links to my YouTube videos. This time I'll be updating Tuesdays and Thursdays. Tuesday will be a self-reflection post, discussing my process. Thursday will be a sharing post, where I post a selection of my writing. That'll be consistent. There may be special announcements otherwise (such as when my work is released), but I feel that twice per week, with the topic pre-determined, is something I can maintain. If you don't already follow this blog, you can sign up with your email in the widget bar. I will also, eventually, take on a mailing list, but there's not enough of an audience now to justify taking that extra effort away from my writing. If being part of my mailing list interests you, though, just sign up in the widget bar (the lower sign up form) and I'll start generating that content (no more than once per week, probably less). There. My intentions have been made known. Now to begin, and keep it up!
